I am so happy for all of you who are lounging at home reading this. As for me, I am off to another day of teaching. I thought after testing that I would be headed for the summer slide. "Easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy," as the kids would say. However, life seems to have other plans for my last three weeks.
We had a 50 minute lockdown last Wednesday. First thing in the morning, too. That was fun.

We've had walk-throughs for the last two days. They haven't gotten to me, yet. So, today will be day 3 of me being over-prepared, over-planned, over-stressed and on the verge of a complete breakdown.
So, I really am sorry that I haven't been posting. But, I am sure you understand. It feels so good to vent to people who have been in my shoes and can truly empathize with my pain. My husband just pats me on the head and makes dangerous comments like, "But didn't your kids just color all day?" Grrrrrrr. (He's just kidding, of course. But, I always take the bait.)

ReplyDeleteI feel your pain! We had a lockdown drill our last week and apparently my door doesn't lock! A very nice policeman came bursting in which started my kids screaming! Oh the drama!

Thanks Linda and Sara for the words of encouragement. The walk through was not as bad as I anticipated. I have two more weeks! Today we made our classes for next year. I am not encouraged. But, you "get what you get". Right?
